Learn the fundamentals of Traditional Soap Making in this "hands on" workshop where you will learn the techniques, ingredients and equipment needed to make your own sudsy bars. We will touch on some "fun science" (the backbone of soap making), the differences in ingredients, soap making methods and techniques to then create your own custom bars. Participants will mix, customize and mold your own bars to take home along with a complete handout covering all topics learned and a Bonus supply list.
A $75 material fee is payable at the first class - all supplies and handouts included.
Participants must wear long sleeves, closed toe shoes. Safety Glasses, Gloves and Aprons are provided.
Only 8 participants per class allowing for lots of one on one instruction and classes do fill quickly.
Classes in Guelph are all on Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30pm at John F. Ross High School 21 Meyer Drive, Guelph, Ontario.
Classes in Orangeville are on Tuesday evenings from 7-9:30pm at Orangeville DSS 22 Faulkner St, Orangeville, Ont.

***Those that have taken the Introductory Soapmaking class will be invited to participate in the Advanced Soapmaking classes. In these classes we will make one 2+ lb batch using Beer or Goats Milk. This will be by invitation only.
